Interim Head of Operations  (FMCG Scale-Up)

Salary: Circa £450 per day
Location: On-site: Greater Manchester Area

IMPACT EVOLVE is proud to be working in partnership with a fast growing FMCG brand to support their search for an Interim Head of Operations to drive day to day success across their manufacturing, supply chain, and warehousing operations..


Key Responsibilities

Short Interval Control & Factory Floor Leadership

  • Design and implement SIC (Short Interval Control) tools including shift huddles, throughput tracking, and visual management

  •  Introduce team level KPIs and dashboards across production and warehousing

  • Create a cadence of data led routines to improve shift accountability and line performance

Reporting & Operational Visibility

  • Build and embed weekly and monthly reporting across OEE, inventory, service levels

  • Enable end to end visibility across Amazon, D2C, retail, and wholesale channels

  • Define and track cross functional KPIs to measure operational efficiency and service


Stakeholder Collaboration & Leadership

  • Act as interim operations lead, reporting into the Founder and Commercial Director

  • Collaborate across internal teams and external partners to align operations with growth objectives

Systems & Scale Readiness

  • Identify operational bottlenecks, system gaps, and process inefficiencies

  • Recommend groundwork for future ERP, WMS, and factory tech integrations


What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in FMCG food manufacturing operations, ideally in high-growth or turnaround settings

  • Deep knowledge of factory management, raw material planning, warehousing, and fulfilment

  • Confident implementing SIC, team rhythms, KPI structures, and operational routines

  • Strong analytical mindset with hands-on experience improving throughput and efficiency

  • Comfortable operating in entrepreneurial, founder led environments
