Location: College Farm, Stow Rd, Cheltenham GL54 2HN (On Site Position)
IMPACT EVOLVE is proud to be working exclusively with Hawkstone to support their search for an experienced Brewer to join their team and help drive the production of their high-quality beer and cider.
Founded in 2021 by Jeremy Clarkson and the Cotswold Brew Co, Hawkstone has quickly become one of the most exciting names in the premium beverage industry. With a focus on quality ingredients, expert craftsmanship, and innovation, the brand has seen rapid growth and continues to expand.
With big plans ahead for 2025, Hawkstone is looking for a skilled Brewer with a strong background in brewing operations, stock management, and quality control. This is an opportunity to play a key role in production, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and excellence across all brewing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Brewery Operations & Maintenance – Managing the full brewing process, including wort production, yeast handling, dry hopping, centrifugation, carbonation, and general brewery maintenance.
Raw Material & Stock Management – Overseeing raw material intake, stock rotation, and inventory checks to maintain accurate stock levels.
Packaging & Distribution – Handling packaging into 50L kegs, ensuring all products meet quality and hygiene standards.
Quality Control & Assurance – Conducting cellar checks, fermentation monitoring, and tasting panels, ensuring adherence to brewing specifications.
Cleaning & Hygiene Compliance – Maintaining strict hygiene protocols across all tanks and vessels, reporting defects, and upholding health & safety standards.
Process Improvement & NPD Support – Contributing to new product development, recipe formulation, and continuous process improvements.
Training & Team Development – Assisting in training junior production staff and ensuring best practices are upheld.
Documentation & Reporting – Keeping accurate records of production data, stock levels, and compliance reports.
What We’re Looking For:
Proven brewing experience within a commercial brewery – essential!
Strong technical understanding of brewing processes, fermentation, and quality control.
Practical experience in wort production, yeast management, dry hopping, and centrifugation.
Knowledge of packaging operations, stock control, and health & safety regulations.
A keen eye for detail, hygiene, and process improvement.
Excellent problem-solving and teamwork skills, with a proactive mindset.
