Operations Associate 

Location: Solidcor Manufacturing Facility, Chesterfield (On Site)
Hours: Monday to Friday, Full Time

We’re searching for an ambitious Operations Associate who’s ready to learn fast, take ownership and play a hands-on role in keeping the daily operation running smoothly.

This is a perfect entry point for someone early in their operations career, supporting key operational admin while gaining the skills and exposure to help streamline and automate these processes over the next year.

What You’ll Do

• Support shopfloor flow: prepare build packs and keep work orders clean and accurate.
  
  

• Help manage inbound supply: book in deliveries, track ETAs and flag risks early.
  
  

• Maintain simple logs for quality and safety, supporting trend-spotting and fixes.
  
  

• Produce weekly operational reporting that gives the team clarity on performance.
  
  

• Run meeting rhythms: prep agendas, capture and follow up actions.
  
  

• Support training admin, document control and small improvement activities across Ops.
  
  
  

What You’ll Learn

• End-to-end operations: from production flow and quality management to supply chain, goods-in and how decisions impact customer lead times.
  
  

• How a modern factory works: ERP/MRP, standard work, WIP control, data accuracy and the basics of lean manufacturing.
  
  

• Performance management: how to track plan vs actual, spot bottlenecks, interpret data and support root-cause thinking.
  
  

• Operational leadership exposure: working directly with the COO and management team, gaining insight into how a scaling manufacturer plans, prioritises and delivers.
  
  

• Practical analytics: building simple dashboards and learning how real operational data drives decisions on the shop floor.
  
  
  

About You

• Degree (or equivalent) in Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Analytics or similar.
  
  

• Confident with Excel and quick to learn new systems.
  
  

• Organised, proactive and reliable with strong follow-through.
  
  

• Curious, hands-on and comfortable around a busy shopfloor environment.
  
  

• Clear communicator who escalates early and takes ownership.
