Junior Supply Chain Specialist

Location: Greater Manchester (Hybrid)

Contract Type: 3-Month Fixed-Term Contract (High Potential for Permanent)

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum (pro rata)

About the Role:

We are looking for a Junior Supply Chain Specialist to support the end-to-end supply chain operations for a fast-growing FMCG brand. You will play a critical role in demand planning, order processing, goods movement, and ERP system management, ensuring smooth operations across third-party logistics providers, co-manufacturers, and internal teams. This role requires strong analytical skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Supply Chain & Operations Management

  • Oversee order processing, goods-in/goods-out, and batch tracking across multiple sites.

  • Ensure seamless stock movements from suppliers to co-manufacturers, 3PLs, and distribution channels.

  • Maintain accurate ERP data for inventory, order tracking, and material planning.

  • Support production planning cycles, ensuring all materials arrive on time for scheduled manufacturing runs.

Data & Process Optimization

  • Analyse supply chain bottlenecks and inefficiencies, recommending process improvements.

  • Work closely with the ERP implementation team to streamline workflows.

  • Ensure batch traceability and compliance with industry standards.

Stakeholder & Supplier Coordination

  • Collaborate with co-manufacturers, third-party logistics providers (3PLs), and internal teams to manage stock movements.

  • Ensure on-time deliveries and inventory accuracy across the supply chain network.

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to identify risks and proactively address challenges.

Key Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or demand planning (FMCG industry preferred).

  • Strong ERP experience.

  • Ability to analyse data, plan inventory movements, and optimize supply chain processes.

  • A proactive problem-solver who can work independently without constant supervision.

  • Understanding of batch traceability, shelf-life management, and third-party logistics operations.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Highly Desirable:

  • Experience in fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industries.

  • Background in supply chain planning and forecasting.

  • Ability to adapt in a fast-scaling, high-growth environment.
