Job description
Warehouse Operations Manager
Location: Solidcor, Chesterfield (On Site)
Salary: Circa £50,000 plus strong package
IMPACT EVOLVE are proud to be supporting Solidcor in their search for a proactive and detail driven Warehouse Operations Manager.
Solidcor is an ambitious, fast growing UK fire door manufacturer revolutionising social housing compliance. Founded in 2019 to raise safety standards in the wake of Grenfell, they’ve rapidly scaled thanks to their unique “10 day lead” methodology, bringing the fastest door set production in the industry and the most comprehensive certified options to market.
This is a hands-on, high responsibility role at the operational heart of the business. You’ll be the critical link between procurement and production, making sure every component arrives when and where it’s needed, in perfect condition, to keep Solidcor’s industry leading 10-day delivery promise on track.
You’ll lead the warehouse team to maintain absolute inventory accuracy, issue full and timely kits to production, and keep materials flowing smoothly in a fast paced, short lead manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Goods-In Control – Receive deliveries against purchase orders using Unleashed ERP, verifying quantity, quality, and specification, and escalating any discrepancies immediately.
Inventory Accuracy – Ensure all goods are located correctly in line with system records, and support cycle counts and stocktakes with precise data.
Production Supply – Pick and deliver complete kits to production on time, escalating any shortages or risks to Planning/Procurement.
Operational Discipline – Maintain full transaction accuracy in Unleashed and help implement scanning, barcoding, and automated processes as the business scales.
Continuous Improvement – Proactively improve warehouse layout, kitting logic, and stock handling processes to maximise efficiency.
What We’re Looking For:
Proven experience in a manufacturing warehouse or materials control role.
Strong track record in goods in, inventory management, and production kitting.
ERP system knowledge (Unleashed or similar) with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to balance physical, hands on warehouse work with accurate system administration.
Calm under pressure with a service driven mindset, treating production as your “customer.”
Key Metrics for Success:
Purchase order receipting accuracy (cost, quantity, part code, location).
% of works orders fully kitted and delivered to line on time.
Inventory variance on rolling counts and stocktakes.
Booking-in lead time from delivery to system receipt.
In return, Solidcor is offering an excellent starting package, long-term growth opportunities, and the chance to play a pivotal role in the success of an industry leader.
